Pulling it together
posted 3/26/2008 6:04:15 PMJust a few weeks ago, Kinetic Christian Church's trailers and gear were stolen on Sunday morning. Ridge Church, another new congregation also located in Charlotte, NC and a strategic partner of North Point Community Church, asked to help Kinetic on Easter Sunday.
The two congregations not only enjoyed worshipping together, but Ridge Church members also led their "Waumba Land" and "UpStreet" programs for kids and volunteered in other ways.
Both Dave Milam, lead minister of Kinetic and Chris Brown, lead pastor of Ridge, blogged about the experience (check them out here and here). "It wasn't routine; it wasn't business as usual; and it wasn't even awkward; it was just powerful!" Brown shares. "Two churches coming together and celebrating together the things we have in common. Great time of worship and teaching. You could feel the excitement and energy in the building!"
